Regenerative/Stem Cell Medicine
with Dr. KeriLyn Bollmann, MD, FACP
What is Stem Cell Therapy for and how does it work?
Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy is used as a nonsurgical alternative to surgery and a natural alternative to steroid injections for injuries and degeneration of bone, cartilage, muscle, and tendon. MSC’s from healthy placental tissue treat all types of degenerative conditions. Adult stem cells are transferred directly into the site of degeneration and/or injury. This invites the body’s own healing cells to begin generating new tissue for repair. It can be performed safely and effectively in the hands of an experienced practitioner right in the office under ultrasound guidance.
MSCs are being widely studied for breakthrough therapies in the medical community. Musculoskeletal, as well as autoimmune rheumatologic conditions, neurologic conditions, and cardiopulmonary conditions are the targets of this revolutionary natural therapy.
Whether it is soft tissue, ligaments, tendons, joints or painful degenerative discs, MSCs can help regenerate injured tissue by sending signals to your own body, thereby reducing inflammation and promoting healing. This leads to overall decreased pain and increased range of motion in your joints.
Presently, our office limits our practice to musculoskeletal issues.
